2022 Honda Accord Review
The Honda Accord first drove onto the scene in 1976, and in its nearly half century on the market it has gone through some serious changes and upgrades—like its update in the 2021 model year.
If you’re in Abington, Willow Grove, or Glenside, PA, come and visit us at Honda of Abington . We’re happy to get you behind the wheel of the 2022 Honda Accord.
Engine Performance
Since the Honda Accord was overhauled for the 2021 model year, there are no expected changes for the 2022 Honda Accord engines. You can equip one of two internal combustion engines under the hood of the 2022 Accord, as well as an available hybrid powertrain with two electric motors. They specifications are as follows:
1.5L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine |
2.0L Turbocharged I4 engine |
2.0L 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors |
|
|
|
The 1.5L Turbocharged 4-cylinder powertrain gets power to the wheels via the continuously variable transmission (CVT), while the 2.0L Turbocharged I4 engine has a 10-speed automatic transmission. Both will give you smooth shifting with no thought from you, so you can focus more on the road.
Trim Levels
The 2021 Honda Accord came with six available trim levels, with two having hybrid options available. The two hybrids are conveniently known as the Honda Accord Hybrid and Honda Accord Hybrid EX, but the latter has changed to Hybrid Sport for the 2022 model year. Otherwise, this year is no different. The standard trim is known as the LX trim, while the others are:
- Sport
- Sport Special Edition (Sport SE)
- EX-L
- Sport 2.0T
- Touring
The LX trim comes with fan favorite features like standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.
The Sport trim adds some exciting exterior features that the Sport SE keeps while adding luxury interior features. The Sport 2.0T, however, trades leather seats for a more powerful engine.
The EX-L dispenses some of the sportier aspects and adds more advanced tech features, while the Touring give you everything you can possibly handle.
Safety and Driver’s Assistance Features
Just like in the 2021 model year, the 2022 Honda Accord has standard HondaSensing® technology that includes but isn’t limited to the following features:
- Frontal Collision Mitigation
- Lane Keeping Assist
- Blind-Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
You’ll also have standard Adaptive Cruise Control. This handy feature makes highway driving a breeze. Simply set your speed and a follow distance from the car in front of you and let your car speed up and slow down for you. This can help you avoid driver fatigue on even the longest cross-country road trips.
With all these advanced safety and driver’s assistance features working together, your road companion can get an upgrade to technological co-pilot!
