2019 Honda Accord MPG: 2.0T Engine

2019 Honda Accord MPG

The 2019 Honda Accord comes in several engine, transmission, and trim level configurations. Due to this versatility, there are also several different Honda Accord MPG ratings.

For instance, Sport and Touring trims equipped with the 2.0T engine get an EPA-estimated 22 MPG city/32 MPG highway.1 This is true with the 10-speed automatic transmission.

The EX-L 2.0T trim, meanwhile, is only available with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This trim gets you a little more out of each tank of gas, with an EPA-estimated 23 MPG city/34 MPG highway.1

Either way, you’ll be able to enjoy a spirited ride: The 2.0T engine delivers 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The 10-speed automatic transmission also comes with paddle shifters for a more active drive.

2019 Honda Accord MPG: 1.5T Engine

2019 Honda Accord MPG

Opting for the 1.5T engine increases the fuel economy of the Accord. With this engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, the Sport model gets an EPA-estimated 26 MPG city/35 MPG highway.1

If you don’t want to deal with a clutch, the 1.5T also offers a Continuously Variable Transmission. This offers an EPA-estimated 29 MPG city/35 MPG highway1 when you choose the Sport trim.

LX, EX, and EX-L 1.5T Accord models get you the fuel economy we mentioned at the beginning of this article: an EPA-estimated 30 MPG city/38 MPG highway.1 This impressive efficiency is better than what you’ll find in competitors like the Nissan Altima or Toyota Corolla.

While not as powerful as the 2.0T, the 1.5T still offers an impressive 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque.

Honda Accord Hybrid MPG

Get the best of both worlds by choosing the hybrid. It offers more power than the 1.5T, with better fuel economy than any other 2019 Accord. In fact, the Honda Accord Hybrid gets an EPA-estimated 48 MPG city/48 MPG highway.1

It does so with the help of an electric motor, which works in conjunction with the regular engine. This system provides a net 212 horsepower.

A power-flow monitor shows things like fuel economy, battery level, and range so you can see how your driving style affects the energy flow. This in turn can help you adopt a more fuel-efficient way of driving, so you can save even more at the pump.
